Wednesday, January 27th is "Come in Character Day". You get to come to school dressed as your favourite story book character! If possible, bring the book with you. Characters in nursery rhymes or Robert Munsch books are always good choices. Be creative when thinking of a costume and have fun!

Mrs. Simmons has shown us how filling someone's "bucket" can make all the difference in the world. As a school, we are collecting donations to send to the people of Haiti. There is a bucket in our classroom for anyone interested in donating spare change, first aid supplies or small school supplies. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

The Write Trait that we are concentrating on this month is Conventions. We have been working hard on making sure that our stories contain proper punctuation. We have learned when to use apostrophes, commas, colons, and quotation marks. Remember to check over your stories for crazy capitals and missing stop marks!
