It's June! Where did the year go? We have 3 weeks left in Kindergarten!  There is no homework this month.  You can keep your homework and reading log folders at home.  Keep reading! I will continue to send books home to read each week.   Permission slips for our field trip to Beaubears Island will be sent home today.  Please sign and return them as soon as possible.   The annual Gretna Green book swap is coming up. If you have any old books at home that you'd like to donate, please send them in soon.   Have a great week!

The Grade 2's are raising painted lady butterflies.  We got to visit their classroom today to see the caterpillars and to learn all about the life cycle of a butterfly.  We can't wait to see them when they are butterflies!

In case you were wondering why your child told you that we are growing tomatoes from space, we are participating in the Tomatosphere experiment.  Follow the link below for more information.  The tomatoe plants will eventually be sent home so your family can enjoy delicious tomatoes all summer long! http://www.tomatosphere.org/

Wow! Only 5 weeks left in Kindergarten!!! We have lots to do!  This week, we will continue working on the digraphs ch, wh, th, and sh.  We will also re-visit Super 'e'.  Keep reading at home and practice your sight words!  It is also a good idea to continue reviewing your letter sounds!  In Math, we are going to work on the number 10 and on using ten frames.   We are going to look at and plant some very special seeds.  I wonder what we'll grow?????  Library is Thursday - bring your books back!  A quick reminder to leave your toys at home unless it's your turn for show and tell!  Have a great week :)
