I hope everyone is ready for another great week in Kindergarten!! Homework calendars for April will be sent home this week. Please encourage your child to read the two homework books to as many people as possible. This helps improve fluency. We are going to finish up our recycling projects and share them this week. They look great so far! We will be drawing a picture, doing some writing and making a craft to send to Mrs. Ray's class in North Carolina. In Math, we are working on the numbers 6 and 7 this week. How many different ways can you show these numbers?

I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful long weekend and spent a lot of time outside! I can't wait to hear all your stories about the Easter Bunny tomorrow!
This is a short week so there will be no homework! April homework calendars will be sent home next week.
There is no school on Friday due to parent teacher metings.
We have been practicing some poems and looking for periods, commas, question marks and exclamation marks in our stories. See if you can point these out for your parents. Keep working on your sight words and reading!!
We are working on the numbers 6 to 10 and reviewing the numbers 0 to 5. Practice printing these at home. See if you can make sets of these numbers with objects at your house.
We will be Skyping with our friends in North Carolina on Thursday.

There is a lot happening this week at Gretna Green!
The Scholastic Book Fair will be running Monday to Thursday. Our class will be going on Monday and again on Wednesday. The fair will be open Thursday evening for family night. Come and take a peek! There are always lots of great books available!
The end of month assembly will be on Thursday. I wonder who will be Student and Class of the Month! We will be submitting our votes this week!
There is no school on Friday so homework is due back on Thursday.
Report cards will be sent home on Thursday. If you want an appointment time for parent teacher, please send back the green form as soon as possible.

In Math, we will be starting a new unit on numbers 6 to 10.
We will be participating in many fun Easter centers and activities this week!
We are going to practice a new song to teach our North Carolina friends when we Skype with them again next week.
