The entire learning community of Gretna Green is extremely pleased to announce a wonderful new partnership between our school and Tim Horton’s.  This partnership will provide a unique learning opportunity for our students and engage our school teachers.  Our plan is to refurbish our existing Story Land Park so that it is a multipurpose space that will be used during all seasons for all subject areas.  We plan to redo the trail system, plant native trees and plants, and create a biking trail.  The learning opportunities that will be created with this funding are endless!

To mark Family Literacy Day, we will have a “Come in Character Day” on Wednesday, January 26th.  Students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from a good book on that day.  Characters in Robert Munch books are usually a fun and easy way to dress up without having to spend a lot of money.  Your child’s class will be participating in fun literacy activities with their buddy class.  Thanks again to those of you who have volunteered to read to our students this week!  Children love to hear their favourite books being read to them.
