The GG Times crew participated in a technology inservice presented by technology mentor, Craig Duplessie.  The students were provided with an array of techniques, skills and tips on how they can improve their GG Times videos.  The grade two to five students had an awesome day and look forward to applying many of the strategies put forth by Craig today.  The students were all provided with a certificate following their completion of the inservice.  Thanks again Mr. Duplessie for all your help and expertise in the field of multimedia!

District 16 technology mentors, Mr.Hayward and Mr. Savoy provided a fun filled morning for the grade five students of Gretna Green Elementary.  The students participated in their first official geocaching session of the year in Story Land park.  Each cache had a part of a word puzzle that could only be solved once all of the caches were found using their GPS units. All the caches were also associated with a specific Christmas carol that had to be solved by each team of students.  This activity proved to be an authentic differentiated activity for our grade five students. Thanks again to Mr.

On Friday, December 4, Kindergarten and Grade 3 classes went to District office to help decorate for Christmas.  All Gretna Green students made a star for the Christmas tree.  The stars have their pictures on one side and their wish for Christmas on the other.  Our Superintendent, Mr. Keoughan helped out by placing the star on top of the tree for us. Check out the Image Gallery to see more pictures.
