Monday Message - March 14th-18th

 Welcome back everyone!  I hope you are all well rested and ready to start a new week!  Our focus this week will be our Science Fair projects.  I hope you all took the time to select your experiment and will be ready for Wednesday.  You will have time in class to set up your display and put the finishing touches on your project.  On Tuesday we will be going to JMH for the TNB production entitled, "The Book Miracles".  For those of you who have not returned your permission slips please do so asap. Our class has been featured in this month's magazine, ED Compass.  Congratulations Comeau Team!!!  We wil also be travelling to Carrefour Beausoleil for our biweekly visit to the library on Thursday!  For those of you who may have family or friends in Japan our thoughts and prayers are with you!

Class Featured in SMART Article!

Homework

Student Appreciation started today.  Please see the Monday message for the list of activities throughout the week.  We will be completing our Math unit on Fractions in class this week.  Our unit test will be held on Friday.  Our review will take place in class.  I really want to complete this unit before March break and start with a new unit following the break.

Skyping to South Africa!

Matthew and his family have finalized arrangements to have a skype session with our class on Friday at 11:00 am all the way from South Africa!  This will be a great way to finish off our week and fill in Matthew on some of the week's highlights!

Monday Message - February 28th-March 4th

This will be student appreciation week and as you all know ... no homework week!!!  There will be a lot of fun activities each and every day this week.  Here is a list of activities for each day this week, Monday: Extra long recess, Tuesday - P.J Day, Wednesday- Twin Day ... yeah for Amber and Erin!!! , Thursday- Green and Gold day, Friday- Old Fashioned Winter Carnival.  We will be putting the finishing touches to our French stories this week and finishing off our unit on Fractions with a test on Thursday.  Our visit to Carrefour Beausoleil library will also take place on Thursday.  Have a great week in South Africa Matthew!!!

Special Guest Speaker!

The Comeau team will play host to a special guest tomorrow.  Miramichi MP Tilly O'Neill Gordon will be providing a presentation on the role of government.  This will serve as a wrap to our unit on citizenship and government currently being studied in class.  The presentation will be filmed by CPAC film crew and later aired on a program called, Beyond Politics.  This should prove to be a wonderful learning experience for the entire team.

Science And A Taste Of South Africa

 The entire class had a fun filled day!  We explored a variety of science experiments and tried to explain them.  This was followed up by a fantastic presentation by Matthew and his mom on South Africa.  Their traditional dessert dish was a real big hit with the entire class!  Thanks so much for showing us some traditional songs, anthems and customs from your native country.  It was awesome!

Monday Message - February 21st-25th

 Wow we are rolling into our last week of February!  On Tuesday the Binedell's will be presenting some interesting information about Africa along with a special dessert ... mmmmm, sounds like fun!  On Friday our MP Mrs. Tilly O'Neil-Gordon will be paying a special visit to our class in the morning to talk about the role of government.  Don't forget to wear pink on Wednesday, national pink day, in support of putting an end to bullying at Gretna Green elementary.  We will begin a new writing activity in French class this week based on winter adventures!  In Math we will begin a unit on Fractions.  In Science Mr. Comeau will be presenting a pretty cool science experiment in preparation for our school Science Fair which will take place after March Break.
