Well Comeau Team you are in for a short week.  Yes that's right, only three days of school for students this week.  There will be no school on Thursday or Friday due to curriculum meetings and parent-teacher interviews.  You are also in for a "magical week" .... mmmmmmmmm I wonder what that means?  Progress reports will be going home on Tuesday.  There will be no French reading logs or spelling test this week.  We will be having our mental Math quiz on Wednesday. In Math we will be exploring estimation in subtraction as well as a new Math game for mulitplication.   In French we will be starting a new writing activity, song and books.  Check out this week's song, Aujourd'hui Il Pleut! 

Congratulations to both Matthew R. and Patrick who did a fantastic job representing our class today in the District 16 Science Fair.  The Comeau team is so proud of you boys!  Thank you also goes out to Matthew's mom, Tarryn who volunteered as a judge in the fair.  Thank you!

 Bonjours mes amies.  Le printemps est arrivé!  It is the school book fair this week.  We will be visiting the book display on Monday at 11:40. Books will be for sale until March 24th.  We also have a Mango Challenge this week too.  A notice will be going home tomorrow with more details.  Good luck to Matthew R. and Patrick who will going to the District 16 Science Fair on Wednesday.  It will be held at Gretna Green so they will not be going too far.  In Math this week we will have our final quiz on Fractions.  This unit test will take place on Wednesday.  We will then start a new unit on subtraction followed by division.  You will see that division is simply repeated subtraction.  In French we will be looking at our next traits, voice and detail.  We will work on phase two of our monster stories and create another "new and improved" copy with added voice and detail.  We will also begin responding to our reading in French this week with writing journals.  Our theme song this week will be "Le Printemps" - Spring Time.  I will also explain to you our new format for cursive writing.  We will also be having our spelling test on Friday. Tips will also be given for finding answers to reading comperehension activities in French quickly.   In Science will be starting with a series of projects on problem based learning activities.  We are going to the Olympics ... you will love it!

 Francais: Read your book to a family member.                : Sign and correct spelling test for tomorrow. Maths:   Study six and seven times table Science: Students are asked to bring in the materials needed for their Science Fair projects.  Time will be given in class to complete their displays.  The projects are to completed for Wednesday in preparation for our School Science Fair on Thursday, Reminder:  We are going to Carrefour Beausoleil for our library visit on Thursday.  Please bring in library books tomorrow or on Thursday.
