Greetings Comeau team! I hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend and are ready for another fun week! Gretna Green will be hosting its annual Cross Country meet on Wednesday after school. Good luck to all of you who are participating! On Thursday we will be having a bus evacuation practice in the morning. In Math this week we will be doing some more SMART responder activities with number patterns and number sense activities. In French we will be comparing ourselves to the others in the class. We will be talking about our height, hair color, eye color and other caracteristics. We may also be ready to bring home our first French books to practise in front of other family members. Well that's all for this week. I am looking forward to seeing all of you on Tuesday!

The students were introduced to the activity, "Le Mini Professeur" and absolutely loved it. This activity allows all of the students the opportunity to use the French language in authentic situations and have fun along the way!

English: Read 15 minutes.
Maths: Complete two Math activity sheets if they were not completed in class. On the first sheet the students are skip counting by 25 and on the other they are asked to fill in the missing number in the number pattern.
Reminder: French Immersion session for all parents at 6:00 pm in my classroom. The session should not last any longer than 45 minutes.

Math: Complete 2 Math addition sheets handed out today.
Popcorn: Home & School will have popcorn tomorrow for 50 cents a bag.
Reminder to Parents: There will be an information session for the grade three Immersion program tomorrow evening at 6:00 pm.

Greetings everyone! I will be posting a weekly Monday message throughout the year. It will highlight what to expect for the week and improve overall communication between our class and parents. Well, I would like to congratulate our very own Hunter B. on being the lucky winner of the Empire Theatre movie pass! Well done Hunter. We will be holiding our student election on Monday. Good luck to all of our candidates! I will also be meeting with your parents on Wednesday in the classroom at 6:00 pm to discuss the Immersion program. You can come too if you like. We also have our school pictures on Friday. Don't forget to look especially awesome for this day. Let's have another great week Comeau team!

The Comeau Team of 2011-2012 are off to a great start. We had a full day and the students adjusted very well to their new classroom and teacher, me! We read our first French book as a class and checked out some cool French songs as well. I am looking forward to having another great year with an awesome team of students!!!

The team sent their rockets to outer space today. It was a great way to "blast off" into summer. The pizza party was a big hit and a great way to celebrate Amanda's birthday ... thanks mom for the muffins! Check out our video of our rockets.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you, along with your parents, for today's surprise party. It was a really nice gesture and I appreciated the great food and all the kind cards. You really are a special team! I look forward to returning the favor tomorrow!

I want to remind all of you that tomorrow is our track and field day at JMH. Please wear proper foot wear (no sandals) and bring your lunch, snack and drink. It should be a fun day!!!

Wow, where has the year gone? We are rolling along into our final week of school Comeau team. Remeber, Friday, is a half day and if you are being picked up please sign and return the form sent home last week. On Tuesday we will be travelling to JMH for our track and field day. This will be all day and you must bring, water, snacks and a lunch for the day. On Wednesday afternoon we will have our teacher vs. students softball game.I will be giving all of you a special lunch surprise on Thursday ... pizza! That's right, there is no need to pack a lunch on Thursday because dinner is on me. We will also be spending time each day working on our rockets and launching them when they are complete.

The team had a memorable field trip yesterday and completed the final phase of the Fish Friends program as we released our salmon parr into the Little Sou' West Miramichi. Check out our photo gallery for some of the highlights.
