Monday Message - May 9th-13th

Welcome back Comeau Team.  I hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend and are ready for a new week at GG!  Don't forget to congratulate Caleb on his award winning video.  In Math this week we will be exploring a unit on graphing.  There will be a mental Math quiz on Friday.  In French the group, Les 6 Astros, will be doing morning announcements this week.  In French class we will begin writting poems en Francais!  We will also begin feeding our salmon some real food this week.  Katelyn will doing her Friday showcase on "horses" this Friday.  Let's make it another great week team!

Félicitations Caleb!!!

Congratulations to our very own Caleb who recently received an "Honourable Mention" in this year's first annual Kin Film Festival!  His film entitled, "I Am Here" was created along with Saood and Simone from Mme Gallant's grade five class.  Bravo Caleb we are all so proud of you!  Caleb will be showcasing his trophy to the class on Monday.

Monday Message - May 2nd-4th.

Greetings Comeau team! We are in for a short week ... only three days!  There will be no school Thursday or Friday due to teacher meetings.  The only assigned homework for the week will be our nightly reading.  Good luck to Molly, Matthew Bi and Matthew Br. who will be participating in Wednesday's oratory competition.   Good luck to Caleb who has submitted a video for the District 16 Kin Film Festival on Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Empire Studios. Come on out take part in the Film Festival.  Admission is free.  Today is election day for our Miramichi MP candidates.  I wonder who our next MP will be ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm???

Class Oratory Finalists

 Our class oratory finalists have been selected for this year's school oratory competition.  They are Molly, Matthew Br and Matthew Bi.  The entire class presented some excellent speeches and it was exceptionally difficult to select just three finalists!  Good luck to our class represenatives.  We are all so proud of you!

Matthew Bi. Project!

 The Matthew Bi flight contest unfolded today.  The students researched their paper airplanes models on line and selected a model they felt would work best.  Following specific video clips the students then created their own models and they were ready for the competition.  All flights were measured for distance and our class winner was Becca!  Congratualtions Becca!!! Thanks again to Matthew Bi. for providing this cool and fun learning activity on structures!

Monday Message - April 26th-29th

Well I hope you all enjoyed your Easter holiday and had the opportunity to get outside and enjoy this beautiful weather.  Matthew Bi. will be telling us about a special class project that we will be doing this week.  We will have a Math quiz Friday on fractions.  Don't forget that our spelling test is on Friday as well. We will be doing a new journal entry in French this week and recording our French stories on "Le Printemps".  It looks like we may have a rainy week so don't forget your rubber boots.  In Science we will have another structure competition.
