Devoirs le mercredi 16 février 2011

 Francais: Read your book to a family member.                : Study spelling words - Test on Friday Maths:  Complete two activity sheets given today. (Addition)            Study seven times table Reminder:  We are going to Carrefour Beasoleil tomorrow for our field trip to their library.  Please bring in your library cards.  You will need them signed by your parents as well.  This should be fun!!!

Monday Message- Feb 14th-18th

Monday will be Valentines Day.  Feel free to bring in your valentines and treats for the class.  All snacks and treats must be peanut free.  We will be travelling to Carrefour Beasoleil on Thursday for a visit to their library.  We will be travelling to Carrefour's library every second Thursday.  Our district 16 CUTE Awards will be held at JMH on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.  We will continue exploring the "scientific process" in preparation for our school Science Fair in March.  We will also begin cursive writing this week.

Science Is Fun

 We had a chance to use our new digital microscope today. This awesome tool was donated our Home and School and today we put it to the test. Here is an image of Mr. Comeau's finger .... cool!  Stay tuned for more digital images using this awesome microscope!

Student Showcase

 I would like to remind all of you that on Wednesday, February 9th Mrs. Simmons will be coming into Gretna Green to video tape some of our student talent.  So if you can dance, sing, play a musical instrument or something else that is a "special talent" please bring in what you need for Wednesday morning.  We will showcase your talent on our school morning announcements!

Bravo Molly & Patrick

Bravo to Patrick and Molly who did a great job over the weekend with their Rotary Pond Hockey interviews.  Their interviews included Premier David Alward, MLA Bill Fraser and others.  Bravo mes ami(e)s!

Ski Trip Tomorrow

 Remember team we are going skiing at the Nelson Ski Club tomorrow.  Dress appropriatley, pack an extra snack and bring a water bottle. It should be fun boys and girls!

Devoirs - le mercredi 2 février 2011

 In French today the students completed their Qui, Quand, Ou writing activity and continued work on vocabulary and "elastic" sentences.  The students may share with you the story, Une Nuit Très Froide, posted on this page. In Math today we completed our activities dealing with time and also continued our working on mental Math strategies.  The students may go to the learn Alberta site for further practice.  Students are also reminded to continue working on their multiplication facts.   Reminder: The class cross country field trip will now be held on Friday, February 4th.  We will be leaving the school at approximately 9:00 and returning at 11:15.

Monday Message - Jan 31st-Feb.4th.

 Wow, I hope you all had a chance to take in the beautiful outdoors this weekend.  It was absolutely beautiful outside!  We are in for another exciting week team!  Our ski trip has been rescheduled to this Friday, February 4th. We will be leaving the school at approximately 8:45 and returning at 11:15.   Let's hope the weather cooperates this time.  In French we will be exploring "elastic" sentences and some new French books!  We will continue working on our unit of measurement in Math with this week's focus being on time.  In Science we will be checking out some cool science experiments and the scientific process.  This should be fun so let's make it another good week Comeau team!

Ski Trip Rescheduled

 I am happy to inform you that on Friday, February 4th the entire class will be going cross country skiing at the Nelson Ski Club.  We will be leaving the school by bus at approximately 9:00 am and returning at 11:15 am.

Ski Trip Postponed

Due to school cancellation today our ski trip scheduled for today has been postponed to another day.  All efforts will be made to reschedule our trip for next week.  Enjoy your day.
