 Another great week at Gretna Green! Everyone is well on their way to becoming bilingual :) Monday your child will receive their book bag. They will receive one new book a day (these are the books we have been practicing in class). Please remember to color in the book that they have read that particular night on their tracking sheet. What a busy and enjoyable week! French - We all mastered how to say "Bonjour, je m'appelle" "Jai x ans" "Je suis en 3e année" "Je suis un garçon/une fille", "Il/Elle." We also learned how to say the days of the week including the month and year..."Aujourd'hui c'est vendredi le 14 septembre, 2012. On Thursday and Friday, we explored the world of colors. Finally, we drew pictures of ourselves and presented them to the class..."Qui suis-je" (Who am I?).  Math- Learned our numbers from 1-10 in oral and written form. ***Information session for grade 3 FI next Wednesday September 19th @ 6 p.m. Hope to see you all there :)***

To all parents/guardians, Wednesday Sept 19 @ 6 pm myself and Mr.Comeau will be holding an information meeting for parents of students in grade 3 French Immersion upstairs in my classroom. The meeting will be in regards to the immersion program followed by any questions and/or concerns you may have.

The grade 3 FI class is well on their way to becoming bilingual. We had 3 very productive days of school! We learned how to say "Bonjour, je m'appelle", "Je suis en 3e année" and "Jai 7 ou 8 ans." Monsieur.Ryan est très fière...a.k.a. "very proud" :)  No homework this weekend. Monday we will begin to look at the math curriculum. Bonne fin-de-semaine!

Welcome back! My name is Ryan Glazier and I will be teaching grade 3 French Immersion this year. I have been a French teacher for the past 6 years and look forward to commencing at Gretna Green Elementary. Please stay tuned for updates :)
