Welcome back! Second week of April already. Glad to say we have a full week of class :) I'd like to thank everyone the positive feed back I received during parent teacher interviews. Your comments and stories were appreciated. French - We are continuing our theme on Spring throughout the month of April. Please note that you child received a new book today and have been instructed them to read it both tonight and Tuesday. Students are now reading level G books...BRAVO mes amis!!!  Wednesday we will commence another Daily 5 round. We have spent some time today practicing our writing/sounds with the use of "Jadore le francais" series of books. This week our focus is the sound "er" Math - Please take time at home to continue practicing adding and subtracting with double digit numbers. Adding is to be completed by regrouping (10's + 10's then 1 + 1's then combine together) and subtracting with the use of a number line. As mentioned, think of a number line as the start and end of a race, and the number in between as the difference. Any question, please contact me. Our unit for this week will focus on factions. This unit will be a lot "lighter" as mentioned Thursday evening/Friday morning. Math duo-tangs will be sent home starting tomorrow so students can review. Social Studies -  We will complete our unit on NB and move on to Health later on in the week. This week, we will discuss healthy snack choices. ***Reminders*** - Drama continues this week afterschool - Mad Science starts on Thursday.
