Monday Message - April 10th-13th

 Bonjour mes amies!  I hope you all enjoyed your Easter holiday and the Easter bunny found you.  In Math this week we will be exploring a new unit on division and seeing how it relates to subtraction.  We will also be starting our weekly Math quizzes on mental math strategies.  You can practise by opening up the mental math file found under the documents tab on this page.  In English we will be writing a new story this week relating to Mr. Comeau and a donkey!  In French we will begin script writing for an upcoming play with our teams.  Let's have a great week équipe Comeau!

Le Printemps!

 The Comeau team just finished their final copies of their Printemps story and had a great sharing them with their peers in grades 3-5, en francais!  Bravo mes amies!!!

Bravo Lushula!!!

 Gymnastics Miramichi competitive team participated this past weekend in the 2012 Rhythmic Gymnastics Atlantic Championships in Halifax, coached by Miruna Timotin (le maman à Lushula).  Our very own Lushula won the Gold medal for all around best performance in her age group.  BRAVO LUSHULA, YAHOO!!!!!!!!

 Science: Students are asked to put the finishing touches on their Science Fair projects.  They are due tomorrow.  They should also bring any necessary materials needed for their project. Report Cards: Please return report card envelopes.  If you are unable to make your scheduled parent teacher interview please let me know, thanks. Field Trip: The team will be going to Carrefour Beausoleil on Thursday for a special field trip.  Please return the permission slip on or before Thursday, thanks.   Please Note: There is no other assigned homework for tonight as today's focus was placed on completing our science fair projects.

Monday Message - March 19th-22nd

 Bonjour Equipe Comeau!  There will be no school for students on Friday due to parent interivews and curriculum meetings for teachers. Enjoy your long weekend.  All students should have their bristol board and materials needed for their science fair projects on Monday.  This is book fair week and we will have the opportunity to buy books on Tuesday. Our school science fair will take place on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.  On Thursday we will be travelling to Carrefour Beausoeil for a "spectacle en francais", it should be fun!  We will completing our Math unit on Measurement with a quiz on Thursday.  We will also be starting to write a new French story on "Le Printemps" this week in class.

Science Project

 Greetings everyone!  I wanted to update you on the details regarding our science project.  All of the students are expected to create a science experiment.  This project is to be completed in class.  I will be assisting the class throughout the process.  I would ask that all students bring a piece of bristol board for their display along with the necessary materials needed to complete their projects.  The final projects will be completed for next Thursday, March 22nd.  Their experiements, write up and displays will be completed "en francais".  If you have any questions please contact me.

Francais: Read 3 books to a family member Maths: Review Math Multiplication facts up to and including 5x5.     English: Reading 15 minutes.                                        Reading Log Entry: Summary - This week's entry will be questioning.  The students are expected to write 5 questions relating to their novel.  Entry is due on Friday Science: We will be having a school Science fair at Gretna Green on Tuesday, March 27th.  We will be working on a science experiment and its write up in class this week.  I would ask that the students select an experiment by tomorrow.  Check out page 3 on our web links tab on this page for some ideas.
