Today was the first day everyone was together in our class. The students worked well with each other and new friends were made. Tomorrow we will be having our first school assembly in the gym. We learned some classroom rules today. Ask your child if they can tell you what some of them are. Hopefully they can remember a few :) We are looking for a Joe Fresh blue and white plaid shirt that went missing. If you noticed it in your child's book bag could you please send it back to school. Thanks!

Tuesday was such a gorgeous day that we decided to do our yoga outside!  We learned some incredible "Animal Poses" and some basic yoga positions.  (We are doing our downward facing dog in the photo!) Yoga has been found to have amazing effects on children. It enhances concentration, flexibility and balance while fostering confidence, relaxation and overall well being.  :)

In You and Your World the boys and girls are learning about Unit 4 – Place and Community.  Over the last 2 weeks we have been talking about identifying common features and landmarks in their community, in particular, the Miramichi River and the Centennial Bridge.  We talked about the construction to help maintain the bridge in the upcoming weeks and the students were asked to construct a new model of the Centennial Bridge.  Check out their videos to see the super job they did constructing their bridges.  Terrific Work Boys and Girls!
