Monday is our second swimming session at MVHS! Bring a swimsuit, towel, and flip flops.

Weekly Update: March 15th – March 19th

Weekly Update:

This week is Science Week put on my the province. From Monday to Thursday, our class will participate in innovative and fun virtual presentations, STEM activities, and science experiments with other classes throughout New Brunswick.

Monday is Red, White, and Blue Day. We also have our first swimming session today at MVHS! Bring a swimsuit, towel, and flip flops.
Tuesday is Star Day and library day.
Wednesday is Green Day for St. Patrick's Day and Phelan Lucky.
Thursday is Flag Day.
Friday is Hat Day.

Weekly Update: February 22nd - February 26th

Weekly Update: Winter Carnival and Take Me Outside Winter Challenge

Check out our exciting theme days and outdoor activities below! Please dress warmly with full winter attire.

Monday is Mix and Match Day. Mix and match colours/patterns.
Tuesday is Inside Out Day. Wear your clothes inside out. Tuesday is also library day. Please send books back to return.
Wednesday is Pink Shirt Day. Wear a pink shirt (or another article of clothing if you do not have one) in support of anti-bullying.
Thursday is Backward Day. Wear your clothes backwards.
Friday is PJ Day. Bring a $1 donation for the SPCA to wear your PJs.
This week is the Take Me Outside Winter Challenge. We will be incorporating outdoor activities into our lessons such as building our own version of the Ancient Egyptian pyramids, snowshoeing, tallest snow tower challenge, sledding, and fort building.

Friday is Jersey Day. Bring a $1 donation for the SPCA to wear a jersey.
This week and next is the Take Me Outside Winter Challenge. We will be incorporating outdoor activities into our lessons such as building our own version of the Ancient Egyptian pyramids in the snow, snowshoeing, tallest snow tower challenge, among other fun opportunities!

Practice weekly No Excuse Words (Valentine's Day, stairs, stare, we'll, you'll, cherries, babies, parties, puppies, ladies) "ies" rule: If a word ends in y, change the y to i and add es to make it plural. (We are doing last week's words due to our shortened week.)

Having Fun Isn't Hard When You've Got a Library Card

5T's three-month reading challenge is officially underway! The only way to fall in love with reading is to find books that you love. Let's help the members of our class do this by getting public library cards to borrow both physical books AND eBooks on their devices. The service is free and the application form can be submitted online from your home. The library card is then mailed to you. Let's get reading! :)

Monday is the reopening of the cafeteria for lunch orders.

A notice is going home Tuesday about library cards. Our three-month reading challenge has started and the more access we have to books we love, the more fun it will be!
