Tomorrow our students will be attending our school Remembrance Day ceremony at 11:00 am.  Bailey and Zachary will be our masters' of ceremony for the occasion.  Our team will also be represented by Lauren who will be reading the poem, "The Man We Never Knew".  Devon will be laying a wreath and Zachary will be holding the flag. In Math we will be exploring the use of benchmarks when estimating numbers as well as estimation strategies for both addition and subtraction.  Meanwhile in French we will be starting a new theme dealing with food.  The students' French vocabulary and overall language skills are improving daily.  I am very pleased with their overall effort and progress!!! Check out this week's podcast riddle presented by Lexie. Please take the time to listen and try to solve the riddle. Great job Lexie! Congratulations to our team student of the month, Lauren.  Our student of the month for September was Zachary. Mr. Comeau

The students are having a great time with our school based Halloween activities.  They really enjoyed decorating our class pumpkin, participating in Crazy Hair Day and wrapping up yours truly as a mummy ... yikes! We also had the opportunity to listen to our reading buddies' "spooktacular stories" from Ms. Sheasgreen's class, they were awesome!  Check out our school homepage for updated pictures of this week's Halloween celebration.  Our GG Times crew have also been busy video taping all of the fun filled activities. Stay tuned for the next GG Times video!                                                                                         Mr. Comeau

Thanks again to Mr. Duplessie for guiding us through the Audacity software and how to create a podcast.  His guidance throughout this entire project has been fantastic. During our second video conference with Vincent Massey Elementary, Mrs. Simmons delivered some exciting news!  She announced that both schools will be travelling to Fredericton in November to meet face to face.  A tour of the legislature along with some activities at Science East will help make our day a memorable one. Of course, meeting our podcast buddies in person will be the icing on the cake! Mr. Comeau
