The Comeau team has adopted a new initiative for the year 2010!  The students will be practising some cooperative learning strategies.  The ground work for this unique approach was completed over a two day period last week.  The team has been divided into four separate groups.  Our team was involved in the creation of their team names, motos and symbols.  Our students can now be respectfully referred to as the Cardinals, Blue Jays, All Stars and Bull Dogs.   In Math we have started a new unit exploring Fractions.  There will be a quiz dealing with Fractions on Wednesday.  Stay tuned for Dylan's Math problem of the week that will be broadcast in video format on our class page using the green screen.   We have started a new unit in French as well.  Sports will be the unit studied over the next three weeks.  During the month of January there will be a concentrated focus on writing in French.  The transition from speaking and reading skills to writing will be a natural one.   Some of the members of our team will be participating in a technology workshop during the morning of Wednesday, January 13th.  We hope you have fun!   Have a good week! Mr. Comeau
