Reminder that grade 6 FI will have their first science quiz of the year tomorrow. Students have had a week to study at home and were given ample time in class to ask questions and study on their own or in groups. Students brought their duotangs home last week or had access to the notes via the document I uploaded to the website last week. I am attaching it again to this post. Bonne chance les amis!

This week's infos-jeunes will be completed by all grade levels at home for Friday morning. I will check before school at this time. If students are forgetting their usernames and passwords, feel free to email me and I will send your child's along. However, they were given it last week and should have them.

Students were shown how to use the website infos-jeunes today and had to periods to complete this week's reading. For those who did not finish in class they are required to finish this at home by Friday morning. I will be checking Friday to mark and ensure that all students have completed their work. Passwords and usernames were given to students to bring home. Starting next week this will be an at home assignment for the grade 6 Immersion as well as the grade 7 & 8 FI.

There will be a science quiz on Tuesday September 18th 2018. It will have questions regarding the 3 types of variables including, indépendante, dépendante and controles. It will also ask students to write a proper testable question. This is a closed book quiz and will be summative. A formative assessment has been completed and there will be a review Friday. Please see the attached documents for notes for viewing at home.

Grade 7 FI began their independent novel studies in class today. This is an in-class assignment and it aims to have students read French novels at their interest and reading level. Afterwards, they will complete a report using High Order Thinking questions to analyse the novel they read. ...

As detailed in the note I sent home last week, infos-jeunes for homework will be starting this week. Students will be given their passwords and usernames today. The article they are expected to complete this week is "La C.-B. en flammes" by Friday morning at which point is when I normally check to see if it has been completed or not. This homework piece should take no more than a half an hour depending on the individual.
*Grade 6 students will not be completing this assignment at home this week as they are not familair with how to use the system. They will complete it in school this week to learn how to use it and then they will start doing it at home next week.
