Mme. Arsenault

Hello! Please check my teacher page daily for updates regarding homework, assignments and the goings on of our classes.

Hello!

Next week we are coming up on the final parts of the writing of the STEM Fair projects for grade 6 Sciences as well as the other sciences classes for grades 7 & 8.  Students need to have their experiments completed by Tuesday at the latest as they need to be able to write their conclusions in class.  I am attaching the handout students have been using to follow and complete their project in class.  I have done this, just in case some may have forgotten them at school.  Please see Madame Mcquaid Murphy's page for a great video explaining how to record data from the experiments.  As always, thank you for your help!  Students have been very excited in class sharing their stories about their parents helping them with their experiments and I know many of you are planning on doing them this weekend.  We thank you because the STEM process would not be able to happen without you.

Cheers!

Hello!

I have had a few emails about infos-jeunes-the weekly French reading comprehension students in grades 6-8 complete at home.  I have not assigned it and will not until after the March Break, simply because students have many projects in many classes that a fairly large (STEM projects etc) that they need to do at home right now.  We will recommence this after the March Break and I will post about it then.

Hello parents!

As I am sure many of you are aware, students have been working very hard these last few weeks in class on their chosen STEM projects and I am very proud of the progress they have made so far.  I will be continuing to work on the written portion of the project in class with students for the French portion.  However, in order to be able to keep moving ahead with this, students should be at the stage of completeing their experiments at home starting this week and into next week.  Students will be working on their conclusions next week in French class for cross curricular links and elements.  Experiments need to be completed so that students will be able to take advantage of this extra time.  All final projects are due February 20th 2019.  Projects need to be put on tri-fold posters and NOT BRISTOL BOARD.  Please wait until I post again asking for Tri-fold posters to be brought in.  I will send home the documents students have been using to guide their projects, please ensure students bring this back to class so that they will have them for the written potion of their assignments in class.  We will print everything that is needed here at school, so please do not worry about printing at home.  Should you have any further questions, please just send me an email: nadia.arsenault@nbed.nb.ca

Thanks! Mme A

Since the second week of September we have been working on an independent novel assignment in class that was expected to be completed by Wednesday, but I gave an extension until today.  Many students have still not completed their work and as such have the weekend to complete their work or their assignments will be considered late.  Please check with your child to see that they have done this or will finish it over the weekend. Students were reminded to bring this home and finish it.

Thank you!
