Mme. Arsenault

Hello! Please check my teacher page daily for updates regarding homework, assignments and the goings on of our classes.

Hello Parents!

Students in grade 6 sciences humaines have prepared questions they will be asking to someone in their lives who is at least 10 years or more older than they are.  Everyone has completed their questions and has been already or will be interviewing this week.  Students are encouraged to write down, video or record their participants answers.  The completion of the interview is all that needs to be done by October 19th 2020.  Many students thought that the whole project is due, but we will be working on that beginning next week on the 19th which is why it is extremely important to have these completed by that date.  Students may bring their electronic devices from home for the purpose of this project if they have parent permission as well.

If you have any questions please email me: nadia.arsenault@nbed.nb.ca

Thanks,

Mme A

Writing Activities (20 minutes)

1.     This week’s writing activities are all about reflective learning.  I want you to pick any of the following topics and write as much as you can on one of these topics each day.  For grade 8-write a letter to your future self about your time at Gretna Green.  Take the whole week to do it, break it up into chunks.  Type it out and send it to me and I will not read it, but print it and seal it in an envelope and in 2024 I will send it up to your high school as you near your grade 12 graduation.  I did this with the grade 8s from last year and am saving their letters for them.  I highly encourage you to do this as it will be a fun exercise for the future and you can do it in the language of your choice as it is a social and emotional learning activity.  If you do not want to do this, pick one of the activities from belowJ

2.     Grade 6 & 7-Pick one of the following topics and write on it the whole week or pick one a day and write on one a day.  Topics: Your hero or someone who inspires you, someone who has left a great impact on your life at any point in time, a letter to yourself one year in the future and what you want to remember from this time or what equality is.
