Math 8
-We continued our work with triangles today. Homework is p. 34 Q 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
-Duotangs of marked work are now due back.
Math 7
-We finished going over our formative assessment today. We practiced how to turn fractions to decimals and how to order fractions and decimals. Summative test Thursday.
Math 6
-Tests are marked but I can not pass them back until one more student writes. Students were told their marks.
-Today we went over how to say decimals correctly in French.
-We spent time working on place value with decimals. Page 89 to 91 of textbook.
-A formative assessment was handed out and students were given some time to work on it in class. This was not assigned for homework and more time will be given in class to work on it.

Math 8
-Today we worked on Pythagorean Theorem. Students have assignments to complete on their mathletics account.
-Tests were passed back to be signed. Corrections should be made on a separate sheet. N1 will be tested one more time before the Christmas break.
Math 7
-We went over reducing fractions and changing fractions from proper to improper form. We also worked with mixed numbers.
-We are part way through corrected the formative test.
-Summative test on fractions and decimals will be Thursday.
Math 6
-Today we did lesson 1 in chapter 3. We spent time talking about decimals and how to say them correctly. Homework is question 1.
-Mathletics assignments are due Monday.
Science 8
-Students planning sheet is now past due for the video project. Students should be prepared to work on the video next class. Bring all required materials.

-Today we corrected our formative test together. Our test is Friday. No class on Thursday.
Math 7
-Today we did a group review. Students are to finish the ordering fractions and decimal questions on the back of the review sheet for tomorrows class.
-Students are to complete their Mathletics tasks for Friday.
Math 6
-Students wrote their formative (practice) test today. We will go over it tomorrow in class for the test on Friday.
-Students can use their Mathletics account to review for the test.

The global challenge asked grade 6 to 8 students to pick one of the United Nations Sustainable Development goals and create a project to help us move closer to achieving one of the goals. Students worked with Mme McQuaid Murphy, Mme Arsenault, M. Lelievre and Mrs Worrell. #GatorPride

-Test Friday on N1 (perfect squares and square roots) and N2 (estimating square roots).
-Assignment sent home is due tomorrow.
-Mathletics tasks are due Friday.
Math 7
-Today students had time to work on their Mathletics tasks that are due Friday.
Math 6
-Today we finished going over the review packet for our test Friday. Answers are attached below.
-Students are to do the corrections for the assignment passed back.
-Formative test tomorrow.
Science 8
-Today we looked at examples of videos for our climat change video project. Students were given time to research and discuss what type of video they would like to do.
-The planning sheet was passed out. This sheet is Due Friday. Next week students should start the video process. Videos are due before Christmas Break.
