We have another busy week ahead of us!* The TERRY FOX SPARE CHANGE DRIVE will take place this week! For every Loonie you bring in, your name will be entered in the draw for the Principal for A Day Contest!* PICTURE DAY will take place on Wednesday. Practice your smile :) Language Arts - We will be introducing Work on Writing in our Daily 5. We will continue to work on Getting Started Right Away and building our StaminaMath - You will do your Number on the Day on your own this week! We will also continue with our Unit on Patterns.Social Studies - We will learn more about the province of New Brunswick this week!Homework - Remember to record what you read! Read for 10 minutes every nightStudy your spelling words and write 3 sentencesComplete Math sheets Cross Country - For the Superstars who are part of the Cross Country team, you will have your first Meet this week. Heh Grade 3 Superstars, we have a great week ahead of us! Language Arts - We will contine to work on building stamina during Daily 5. We are up to 7 minutes! Read to Someone will also be introduced!Math - We will be working on our number of the day and starting our Patterns unit. We will also have Math Centers this week. In the afternoon we will be working on our All About Me projects. Remember to bring in pictures if your are going to complete your project using Smart Notebook!Social Studies - We will be starting Unit 1 - PlaceSpelling - The following are your spelling words for the month of September:again untilpeople havebecause verysaid intocould wantthey offfavorite who Homework will go home on Monday and must be completed and returned by Friday. For homework you have:Read for 10 minutes every nightStudy your spelling words and write 3 sentencesComplete Math sheet Cross Country - The Gretna Green cross country team will start their practices this Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:30. If you like to run you will love this team. All you need is a drive home at 3:30 and sneakers to run in.Meet The Teacher/Dessert Delight- Thursday night you and your parents can come to see our classroom and enjoy a delicious dessert in the cafeteria. This starts at 6:00 in the cafeteria.

Dear Parents:
Your Grade 3 Superstars had a fantastic day! Ask them what they learned today...hopefully they will tell you the steps to being a good listener.
*Thank you for sending in the school supply fee so promptly. There are only a few more to come in.
*There will be no homework this week, it will start next week.
*Their homefolders went home today with lots of goodies to read, sign and return. Homefolders will not go home everyday, only when necessary. Please ensure they are returned the next day.
Thank you for providing me with an awesome group of kids to teach!!!

This is a reminder to all my Grade 3 Superstars that school starts on WEDNESDAY September 5, 2012. I am looking forward to seeing all of you again and hearing all about your summer vacation. We have many fun learning opportunities ahead of us this year and we have an extra hour to learn...yeah us :)
Remember that your School Supply fee of $50.00 due as soon as possible. It would also be wonderful if you could bring a few boxes of kleenex. Another item you will need is your gym sneakers. Our gym time this year is 12:45 - 1:15 everyday!!
