Heh Superstars....only 5 more schools day until Christmas holidays!! I hope everyone is enjoying thier storm day today.  I wonder Sprite was up to on the weekend?  Hopefully he was a good elf!* We have a Mystery Skype on Tuesday morning, if everything works out.                             * On Wednesday there will be Christmas Activities in the gym all day.                             * Thursday you can wear your Santa hat or your Elf hat to school.                             * Friday is RED and GREEN day!!   Language Arts - This week we are going to finish our Audio Christmas Cards and our Christmas Acrostic Poems.Math - We are going to finish our Unit on Patterns and EquationsSocial Studies - We are going to finish our Biographies on Explorers. We have a busy but fun week ahead!!  10 more school days before Christmas holidays!!! (Not that we are counting!!)  This week is a funfilled week of learning in GG4SS. * It is Christmas Door Decorating Contest time again. The judging will take place on Friday so we have the first part of the week to decide what we are going to do.  Get your thinking hats on!*The Annual Christmas Dinner in the cafeteria will take place on Wednesday.  If you don't have your orders in yet please do so on Monday.                             * We have two Mystery Skypes planned for this week.  One on Monday and one on Friday. Hopefully we will win this time!!                              *Basketball for boys will begin on Monday....remember your basketball clothes.  Also remember to arrange a drive home at 3:30! Language Arts - This week we will continue to look at the Writing Trait of Word Choice. We will also be writing an Audio Christmas card,Math - We will continue to work on our unit on Patterns and Equations. We will use the Extreme Collaboration add-on later in the week.Social Studies - We will be working hard on our Biographies this week trying to get them finished before Christmas holidays.  Let's have another Superstar week!

   This week's star student is Ryan.  Ryan was born on April 7.  He is 9 years old.  Ryan loves Math and pizza!  His favorite color is blue.  Ryan's favorite animal is a dog.  Ryan loves everything about himself because he is an awesome kid!

    It is Christmas Concert week at GG.  Lots of fun and excitement ahead of us and only 3 more weeks until Christmas holidays! * Drama practice for all on Monday and Tuesday afterschool. *There will be a dress rehearsal for our Christmas concert on Monday morning. * Our Christmas Concert will take place on Wednesday.  There will be two performances, one at 10:00 and the other at 12:30. * Friday we will be going to Carrefour Beausoliel for a French performance.* The Annual Christmas Craft Fair will take place on Saturday from 10:00-2:00 Language Arts - This week we will continue to work on the writing trait of Word Choice.  We will also be looking at more vowel sounds.Math - We will continue with our new unit on Patterns and Equations.Social Studies - We will begin our Biographies on a Canadian Explorer.Health- We will be learning about Habit number 6 and 7 for a happy kid. Let's have another superstar week!!

  Shariq is this week's star student of the week.  Shariq was born on September 1st. He is 9 years old.  Shariq loves Math and pizza.  A good combination! His favorite color is orange.  Shariq loves the fact that he is very smart!!  His favorite color is orange.

 In September we set the goal of reading 100 books as a class.  We estimated how long it would take us to finish reading all 100. A few of us were correct with our estimates!  We are going to celebrate on Friday by having a 100 Book celebration and a PIZZA PARTY!!!

 Only 6 more weeks until Christmas hoildays! Lots to look forward to!*We have our 3rd Mystery Skype this week on Tuesday morning*We will be starting to practice our song for the Christmas Concert. Our Christmas Concert is earlier this year. It will be December 4th.*Friday is School Spirit day,,,wear your Green and Gold                            *We are getting very close to reading 100 books and having our 100 BOOKS celebration!Language Arts - This week we will be looking at the Writing Trait of Word ChoiceMath - We have our Unit Test for Numbers to 10 000 on Tuesday and they we will begin our Unit on Data Analysis.Health - We are going to be reading the book "7 Habits on Happy Kids" and completing activites to go along with it. Let's have another Superstar week!
