 It is going to be an awesome second week of school!!  I am looking forward to getting to know each of you better as the month progresses!*Cross Country starts this week on Monday and Wednesday afterschool.*Soccers starts this week on Tuesday and Thursday afterschool.Remember to bring a note from your parents if you plan to stay for one, or both, of these activities.  Also, you will need to arrange for a drive home at 3:30!*Meet the Teacher is Thursday night at 6:00. Bring your parents to school and meet the awesome Gretna Green stafff.** The cafeteria opens this week for orders. If you are ordering, remember to fill out the order form and send the exact amount of money. Thanks**Language Arts - This week we will continue to build on our stamina in Read to Self. We will be creating norms for Work on Writing and everyone will get their individualized spelling list.Math - We are beginning our Unit on Numbers to 10, 000. Remember to study the 2 times table as there will be a quiz on Friday!Social Studies - We are going to learn about Terry Fox this week and we are going to begin to organizing the school's Terry Fox Spare Change Drive. Let's have a Superstar week!!

 I am looking forward to getting to know my new group of Grade 4 Superstars.  The first day of school is  September 2.  Remember to bring your $50.00 school supply fee, 2 boxes of kleenex and your smiles.  It is going to be a fantastic year!

 Our last week of school!! This year has gone by so quickly.  I certainly will miss my group of Superstars!This week we have lots of fun things on the go.Monday - we will be preparing decorations for the Grade 5 banquet.Tuesday - We are going to finish our Rocks and Mineral projectsWednesday - We will be decorating for the Grade 5 banquet in the morning.Thursday - In the morning there we will be a Grade 3-5 Field Day.  In the afternoon the teachers will be taking on the Grade 5 students in a softball game...go teachers!!Friday - Last day of school.  There will be an assembly at 9:15. Buses will be leaving Gretna Green at  11:15. Let's have another Superstar week!!!

 Only 10 short days of 4th Grade left.  I am really going to miss my Superstars!!!  We have a fun week ahead of us. Monday - There will be a short presentation from the Public Library @1:15 in the gym.Tuesday - Camp Sheldrake has a presentation for us @12:45 in the gym.Wednesday - Our Field Trip to Kouchibougac. Remember to dress for the weather.  It looks like it will be a nice day.  Bring sunscreen, water and a lunch that doesn't need to be heated up.Thursday - The Boys and Girls Club will be setting up their FUNZONE at Gretna Green.  We will be scheduled to go out and have fun for a short period of time. Language Arts - We will be finishing up our Literacy Projects.Math - We are going to create Math Board GamesScience - We are going to finish our Rocks and Mineral presentations. Let's have another Superstar week!!

 Only 3 more Monday left before Summer holidays. Wow Grade 4 went by so fast!!*Biking Club - There will be a biking club meet at GG this week on Thursday at 3:45.  Good luck to all our bikers!*Drama is finished for the year.  Congratulations to all our actors and actresses, backstage helpers and choir members.  You were awesome!! Language Arts - This week we are going to spend most of our Language period working on our Literacy Projects.Math- We are going to finish our Unit on Measurement and begin our Unit on Geometry.Science - We are going to work on our Rock and Mineral projects! Let's have another Superstar week!!

 This is the last week of May and our LAST WEEK OF HOMEWORK for Grade 4!!  We have a fun and exciting week ahead of us.*Only 4 weeks of school left.  *Hopefully everyone is out getting exercise to keep up with the Mango Challenge!*The GG Drama production, The Wizard of Oz, will take place on Thursday night at 7:00. The dress rehersal will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:15.  * The second Bike Race of the year will take place Monday at 4:00 at NSEE.*We will have our Monthly Assembly in the gym on Friday at 1:15.*We have a guest speaker via Skype on Monday.  A Conservation Officer from Manitoba. Language Arts - We are going to work on our Year End Literacy Projects starting on Monday.Math - We will finish our Unit on Fractions on Monday and start our Unit on Measurement.Science - We are going to begin our Unit on Rocks and Minerals. Let's have another Superstar week!

 I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend!! Only 5 weeks of school left!!! and only 2 more weeks of homework!!* Mountain Biking begins this week for Grade 4&5. The first race is at Croft on Wednesday at 3:45.*Fishing Club - All students involved in the bass tournament need to submit their bass tally sheets to Mr. Comeau by Wednesday morning.*Drama students will be travelling to JMH to watch the JMH drama production on Wednesday monring @ 9:00. Language Arts - This week we will be looking at all our Writing Traits and reading comprehension activities. We will also be discussing our June projects.Math - We will continue with our new unit on Fractions.Social Studies - We will finish our Canadian MapsScience - We will be starting our unit on Rocks and Minerals. Let's have another Superstar week.

  There are only 6 more weeks of Grade 4 left.  I am going to be really sad to see my group of Superstars moving on to Grade 5!! * Drama continues this week. * We have a Mystery Skype on Monday afternoon at 1:15  * There will be a special Fiddling group performing for the school on Tuesday morning. * Friday afternoon we will be participating in  Jump Rope for Heart!  Should be fun!!*The Grade 3/4 Fishing Club will start this week afterschool!*Peer Helper training will continue on Tuesday. Language Arts -  This week we will be working on a Point of View writing piece.Math - We will be reviewing Division and we will begin our new unit on Fractions.Social Studies - We are going to finish up our studies on Canada. Let's have another Superstar week!

 Many thanks to the Natural Resource Departement for a great presentation this moring. It was very informative and interesting. Grade 4Simmons really enjoyed the pictures of all the wildlife found in the forests of New Brunswick.

 A reminder that tomorrow, May 8, we will be going on our Ducks Unlimited Field trip.  Thank you to Ducks Umlimited for sponsoring this trip.  Students need to be dressed appropriately....rubber boots, splash pants and hats.  Also you need to bring and lunch or snacks that do not need to be heated up!  We will be having our Pizza Party after we return from our trip!!  I will be a great day.

Congratulations to Aylia who was the top seller for the Home and School Fundraiser!!! * Peer Helper training will take place on Tuesday and Friday this week!!*Field trip to Duck's Unlimited will take place on Thursday morning...RUBBER BOOTS are a MUST!  There are only 3 days of school this week! Thursday and Friday are NBTA days for teachers. Due to the short week....there will be NO HOMEWORK this week!!  The only thing you need to do is study for your spelling test on Wednesday.* Drama continues. A date has been set for your drama production - May 29.  I can't wait to see the show.*The Home and School Fundraiser was extended one more day.  Remember to bring in your sponsor money if you haven't done so already.Language Arts - This week we will be working on Reading Comprehension stratgies.Math - We will finish our study of Division strategies and begin our Unit Review.  The unit test for Multiplication and Division will be next week.Social Studies - We will finish present our projects about "What Our World Look Like" and learn more about the continents and oceans. Let's have another Superstar week!
