Wow, it's the first week of February!  Time is flying by.  There are only 4 weeks until March break.*Boys and Girls basketbal continues this week.  Check your schedules for games and practices.  There is a Girl's game afterschool on Monday at Gretna Green.*Monday is Groundhog Day.  I hope the Groundhog doesn't see his shadow!!* Drama practice continues this week.  Stay tuned for practice times.*We are going to have our Mystery Skype this week.  It was snowed out last week!  We are planning for Thursday. Language Arts - This week, we are going to review syllables, conventions, nouns and adjectives.Math- We are going to finish our last Lesson on Multiplication and Division and have our Unit Test by Friday.Health - Monday we are going to record our Healthy kids projects.Science- We are going to start our Unit on Light and Sound. Let's have another Superstar week!

 Another great week at Gretna Green is ahead of us!! * Boys basketball practice is Monday from 2:30 - 3:30. There is a home game on Wednesday at 3:30 againts St. Andrews Elementary.  Good Luck boys!*Girls baskbetball practice is Tuesday from 2:30 - 3:30. * Tuesday we will have our second Genius Hour session. Hopefully we will pick our topics. Language Arts- This week we will continue to look at our Writing Trait of Conventions. As well we will be learning about Adjectives and Nouns.Math - We will be completeing Lesson 3 on Skip Counting to MultiplyHealth - We are going to finish our Healthy Kid projects. Let's have another Superstar week!!  

 5 more days of school before Christmas break!!! Merry Christmas Superstars!*On Monday we are going to have our Pizza Party to celebrate reaching 100 Books read in our class!! Way to Go Superstars!*Our Mystery Skype is re-schuled for Monday!*The Home and School will be providing Free Popcorn for all this week as a Christmas present! Language Arts - This week will be working on Christmas writing and a Christmas project.Math - We will finish our Unit on Data Management this week.Health/PD - We will be writing and producing Audio Christmas cards this week! Let's have another Super Star week!!!  

 Two more weeks left before Christmas holidays!!! It is going to be another fantastic week! * We have a Mystery Skype on Tuesday. I wonder where they are from? *We are going to participate in "Code Week" Which mean we will be learning how to create code for computer games!!     Language Arts - We are going to be working with closed and open syllables this week. Math - We are going to continue with our Unit on Data Managment. Social Studies - We will be presenting our Biographies this week and then we will be writing Digital Christmas cards.   Let's have another Superstar week!

We have a full 5 day week of school ahead of us!!  It is going to be another great week.*Drama practice and choir practice continue all this week.* We will continue practicing our Christmas Concert song this week.*Remember to dress for the weather.  Some morning it is really cold out.  Hats and mitts are a must!!*Remember to vote for your favorite theme song.*If you are looking for something to do on Tuesday night...Gretna Green Home and School is having a school fundraiser at Gojiis.  A portion of every frozen yogurt bought will go back to our school!!Language Arts - This week we are going to finishing marking the story "My Trip".  Then we will organize our own story. We will be working on vowels this week too!Math - We are going to complete the last lesson in the Patterns Unit, and hopefully have our test to finish this unti!Social Studies - We will complete the research for the explorer you have chosen and prepare a biography and presentation. Let's have another Superstar week!

 The Gretna Green Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week.  Our class is scheduled to visit the book fair on Monday and Tuesday at 10:30.  The fair will also be open on Thursday night during Parent-Teacher Interviews.
